Beyond Borders is a vibrant youth exchange program designed to foster cultural understanding and enhance golf skills among young adults from across the globe through the power of golf.

Beyond Borders is a collaborative initiative between OuttaBoundz UK and Laulima Studios, to create a cross-cultural experience that combines the love of golf with cultural education.

 

This five year initiative aims to bring together young golf enthusiasts from locations such as UK, Canada, Australia and Hawaii, to share their passion, learn from each other, and gain a deeper appreciation for diverse cultures.

The Beyond Borders initiative provides a unique platform for young adults to immerse themselves in a rich cultural exchange. Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Day 1: Arrival and welcome ceremony. Introduction and pairing of students.
  • Day 2: “One-on-One” golf training with a professional golfer at the Kapalua Plantation Course.
  • Day 3: Golf round at Kapalua Plantation Course, documented by a film crew.

Golf training, cultural excursions, volunteer work, and documentary filming.

  • Day 4: Cultural immersion day led by a Maui cultural advisor, including volunteer work and local history lessons.
  • Day 5: Exploration of Hawaiian culture with trips to Hana and Haleakalā National Park.
  • Day 6-7: Leisure and preparation for travel to the UK
  • Day 8: Arrival in London, hotel check-in, and rest.
  • Day 9: Excursion, sky sports studio tour.
  • Day 10: Golf training with London-based professionals at a local course.
  • Day 11: Golf round in London, mirroring the experience in Maui.
  • Day 12-14: Cultural exchange activities, including visits to historical sites, landmarks etc. and local attractions.

Twenty golf-playing students; ten from Maui and ten from the UK.

Two weeks, with one week spent in Maui and one week in London.

Sponsors will have the unique opportunity to support a program that promotes sportsmanship, cultural exchange, and youth development. They will receive recognition through branding on event materials, mentions in the documentary, and the option to participate in select program activities.
